The Somerset Independent School District will invest in developing a highly skilled workforce that is committed to graduating students who are college, career, and/or military ready.
Achievement of this Mission will be accomplished in an optimum environment where all stakeholders assume responsibility for learning as a lifelong process. Somerset has a reputation of being a strong community that values educational outcomes. Educational partnerships between the board of trustees, district, schools, families, and community members will continue to produce expected results that showcase Somerset ISD as a model district.
The board annually develops priorities to guide district planning and decision-making, and adopts the budget to support identified needs and priorities. We believe that by providing an environment conducive for learning, appropriate technology, and ongoing professional development, the learning potential for the students is maximized. With a focus on post-secondary readiness, every Somerset ISD graduate is expected to be college, career, and citizenship ready.
