Somerset ISD Recognized on 2024 ERP Honor Roll for High-Performing Schools

SOMERSET, TX — Somerset Independent School District has been named to the 2024 Educational Results Partnership (ERP) Honor Roll, a prestigious recognition that highlights school districts demonstrating exceptional student achievement and academic growth. Somerset ISD is the only Texas Public School District recognized in Bexar County to earn this honor.

The ERP Honor Roll recognizes high-performing public schools, school districts, and charter schools across the state for closing achievement gaps and excelling in key academic indicators, especially among higher-poverty and historically disadvantaged student populations. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Honor Roll, and Somerset ISD’s inclusion reflects its ongoing commitment to student success and equity in education.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognized as an ERP Honor Roll District,” said Dr. José H. Moreno, Superintendent of Somerset ISD. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our educators, the hard work of our students, and the strong support of our families and community. It affirms that we are on the right path—providing a high-quality education that prepares every student for college, career, and life.”

ERP’s Honor Roll is the only school recognition program in the nation that is based solely on objective student achievement data. Results for the 2024 list were determined using performance metrics from the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) over a three-year period from 2022 to 2024.

The Honor Roll is presented by the Campaign for Business and Education Excellence (CBEE), in partnership with the Texas Business Leadership Council and other business leaders across the state, to spotlight educational institutions that are preparing students with the knowledge and skills essential for success in the workforce and beyond.
