Welcome to the Somerset Independent School District (SISD)! We're excited to announce our new student registration event, which will be held on July 23, 24, and 25 at the ZECLA Library. This is a crucial step for new students and their families to join our vibrant educational community.

Dates: July 23, 24, 25
Location: Shirleen Zacharias Early Leadership Academy Library
Times: 8:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Required Documentation for Registering New Students
To ensure a smooth registration process, parents and guardians must bring the following mandatory documents:
Proof of Residency:
A current utility bill, tax record, or lease agreement must be presented at enrollment.
Withdrawal Form:
This form should show the date the student withdrew from their previous school and must be presented at enrollment.
Records must be requested within 10 days of enrollment.
Note: This form is not required during the summer months.
Last Report Card/Unofficial Transcript:
Students in the 11th or 12th grade, or those repeating the 9th grade, must provide an unofficial transcript within 10 days of enrollment.
Student's Social Security Card:
This must be presented at the time of enrollment.
Student's Birth Certificate:
This must be presented at enrollment.
If the student was born in Texas, a birth certificate can be obtained from the San Antonio Health Department.
Current Immunization Records:
All immunizations must be up-to-date and records must be presented at enrollment.
Required Documentation for Parents/Guardians
In addition to the student’s documents, the following documents related to parents or guardians are also mandatory:
Parent's Texas Driver's License:
Must be presented within 10 days of enrollment.
Power of Attorney Document or Divorce Decree:
If there has been a change in custody, this document must be provided within 10 days of any such change.
Proof of Residency Document:
If the parent/guardian and student are living with a third party, a proof of residency document, notarized with the homeowner, must be presented at the time of enrollment.
