The Somerset Junior High cafeteria erupted in applause as Ms. Ana Trevino and her class walked into a celebration just for them. On Friday, April 4th Texas A&M University-San Antonio recognized Ms. Trevino and her class as the April ASPIRE Classroom of The Month. This initiative acknowledges ASPIRE school district elementary & middle school classes that go above and beyond to bring higher education opportunities to their students.
Winning teachers and classrooms receive a Classroom of the Month certificate, Jaguar swag for the classroom/educator and students, a special message from University leadership, and a check on behalf of Community First Health Plans.
Ms. Trevino was celebrated with SJH Mariachi, speeches from two of her students, and Somerset Junior High Cheer.
